Clickin’ and Campin’

“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown,

for going out, I found, was really going in.”

~John Muir

What is it about being in nature that causes us to reflect?  I can hardly step foot in the forest without beginning to think of the big picture and purpose of life.  I haven’t once walked along the ocean without feeling tremendous gratitude.  I see the full moon and I feel wonder and awe.   I witness a glorious sunset and I am reminded of life’s blessings.

God’s creations create those emotions.

One insightful clicker recently combined the experience of clicking and camping – and she invited her whole family on the journey.

This is Mechelle.

Mechelle explains, “After we had cleaned up our tents and our campsite, we sat down around the fire and each little family gave a short devotional.  It was a great experience!  When I presented the idea about having a positive attitude, then I focused on Think.Click. Be…, it went very well!  I had secretly been clicking all weekend up to that point, and then I passed out the clickers and asked everyone to take 2-3 minutes and click anything that made them happy, laugh, feel joy, or anything to be grateful for! It was kind of cool to just sit in silence and hear all the “clicking” going on!”

What a great idea!

Clickin’ and Campin’!

I love it!

Mechelle goes on to say, ” When I am struggling or afraid, if I pull out my clicker I can focus on the good things in my life instead of the unknown and the hard!  Life hasn’t exactly gone as planned for me, but I know that if I stay close to the Lord and focus on the positive, I can find joy and feel peace! The clickers have truly helped me focus on the positive, as I have a lot to be thankful for!”

Next time you are headed into the woods don’t forget the necessities:

bug spray

s’more supplies

tent

sleeping bag

flashlight

…and your clicker.
