Firsts
“Firsts” are scary.
First day of school (no matter what grade you’re in).
First jump off a diving board (though I think that’s scary every time).
First date
First blog post on a new website…
This is the very first blog post for billionclicks.org. (…and I’m having “I-hope-I-can-do-this-right” butterflies.)
And if the first post wasn’t making me nervous enough…this post begins with a question that I don’t know the answer to.
I’m not sure anyone really does.
How many thoughts do we have a day?
I have no idea.
(How does one even go about counting that?)
I have heard we have anywhere from 2,500 – 65,000 thoughts a day.
Still, how would anyone really know?
Here’s what I do know…
We. Think.
Every single person has thoughts. No matter where you’re from, how old you are, how much money you have, what religion you are, what language you speak, whether you are short, tall, smart, skinny, funny, shy, – every single person has thoughts. But not every person takes advantage of the power of their thoughts. In fact, probably very few people do.
Our thoughts can help us accomplish amazing things.
“Mind is the Master power that moulds and makes,
And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes
The tool of Thought, and shaping what he wills,
Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills;
He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass;
Environment is but his looking glass.”
This blog is meant to inspire, motivate, lift, strengthen. We hope every time you visit, you will find a word, a sentence, a paragraph, a phrase that helps you live your potential.
Because you can.
…and we believe it all begins
with a single thought.

Rebecca Anderson says:Perfect first blog post Hilary!
Thank you for opening the doorway for myself and others. May we all begin to pay much more attention to our thoughts and use them to our good.
Now, I’m off to send hundreds of people here so they don’t miss out!

Jennie says:I agree with Rebecca, great first post! What you are doing is amazing and I know it will bless the lives of so many. You are a positive example in a world where so much is focused on negative things.
